Say no to Wilshaw’s plans for Early Years Education

On Friday, the website Children and Young People Now, carried this horrifying story.
Michael Wilshaw wants more so called “academic rigor” in Early Years inspections. We all know what he means by this! More chalk and talk, more formality and less child-initiated play.
Wilshaw and Gove, despite their recent fallings out, are two sides of the same coin. Unless we oppose them, our children will grow up in  school system that denies them their right to play.
